What a way to get off the mark for Liverpool…
Liverpool’s under-21s were in action over the weekend, as they drew 2-2 with League Two outfit Morecambe at the Globe Arena.
Paul Mullin struck two goals in two minutes for Morecambe at the start of the second half, before the Reds mounted their comeback.
Spanish midfielder Magder Antonio Gomes brought Liverpool back into the game with a rasping shot from outside the box. It was Gomes’s first goal for the club.
Jerome Sinclair later levelled the match 2-2.
