Following reports of a huge bust-up between Alexis Sanchez and the rest of Arsenal players, manager Arsene Wenger has moved to refute the rumours, claiming that while the dressing room was obviously not in a good mood, rumours of a fight were exaggerated to say the least.
He said: “Everybody was deeply disappointed, but there was no incident in the dressing room.”
Quite if that will be believed is another thing, but Arsenal for now, are trying to present a united front, with the FA Cup and a top four spot still to fight for.
He also claimed he would manage next season, even if it was not at Arsenal – something the majority of fans seem to be in favour of.
It’s easy to forget given the huge amount of criticism that Wenger has come in for in recent years that he was once one of – if not the best – manager in England, if not Europe, and deserves far more respect than this according to many people.
