Aaron Lennon returns to football with a bang after scoring for Everton against Feyenoord

Heart warming

Aaron Lennon returned to football with a bang on Wednesday evening as he scored for Everton during their pre-season clash with Feyenoord.

The player was taken to hospital this week with a suspected mental health problem back in May but has since returned to Everton.

Now, he has got his career well and truly back on the right track after impressing during the clubs clash in Ronald Koeman’s homeland.

The side won 3-0 courtesy of a goal from Lennon as well as stunning goals from Kevin Mirallas and Kieran Dowell.

Regardless, the shining light of the game will be Lennon’s impressive goal following a difficult period.

The whole of football was in support of the player back in May with Spurs even singing his name during their game with West Ham.

Injury blow

While optimism is high at Everton, two key players have been ruled out with injury.

One of the players could even be unavailable up to a massive nine months, which comes as a massive blow.

The Toffees will also face extra fixtures this season with Europa League a pivotal target this season.
